Church is a group of people sharing the love of Jesus Christ for the glory of God.  Church is the hope of the living Lord offered in all places. Church is what happens when God leads and the people follow.  We believe that God calls ALL to serve. When we serve God we are really just living our faith out loud.  And when we live our faith our loud God is honored.

 

All the folks that attend Parker Lane UMC are called to minister to our neighborhood through their gifts and graces and for the glory of God. The folks listed on this page have a particular call to serve in the church. 

 

Rev. Tina Carter is our pastor.  A second career pastor, Tina worked as a environmental chemist before going to seminary.  She prays a lot and is grateful for her family.

 

Mary Jones, R.N. is our Wesley nurse.  She takes time to listen to the needs of our neighbors and does a great job of encouraging health in us all. She is married to Ron, a retired University professor and has two incredible daughters and many grandchildren.  Her lifelong faith journey informs her work. Her deep commitment to health is evident in all she does.

 

Angel Campolo works with our children and the kids in our neighborhood.  She runs our afterschool program, Kid's Korner and is dedicated to making sure God's kids see hope in their world.
